Flossin’ For the Holidays

We are working on a new project for our etsy shop My Little Fingers. The project includes lots of embroidery floss and tedious stitching.

Goodwill score. 60 bundles of assorted colors…I am seriously going to love organizing these.

Hoops  and  more floss from Patti’s Home Plate Deli and Fountain in St. John’s. If you happen to be in cruising down scenic Lombard in NoPo stop in Patti’s and see the random craft supplies, costumes, close out Avon products and so much more…P.S. you will leave that place smelling like bacon, yum!

If You Can’t Buy It….Make It

I am not the fanciest clad gurl in town. My daily uniform consists of  jeans, hoodies, cardigans, multiple layers of  tops (I freeze at 70 degrees), tall boots or high top sneaks. To sass up my American Apparelish uniform I add vintage scarves, random bracelets and lip gloss, yes lip gloss.  I wanted add some neck flair to my uniform but couldn’t go out and buy the ones I really wanted.  What’s a girl to do? Get ta makin’… Below are some designer pieces that caught my eye…and below that are the pieces I made using components from necklaces I already owned, fancy yarn, feathers and a swatch of leather from a thrifted jacket.

Betsey Johnson $38

House of Harlow $80

I Digest-Night Snacking

…10:45p turned on oven to make myself some crispy tots…imagining the crunchy, greasey, hot pieces of grated potato morsels and double dipping into cold ketchup…alas…the thought of waiting 20 minutes for them to cook was not grooving with my snackattitude. Instead this happened: Oat Wasa cracker, Laughing Cow, avocado, and  Kauai Guava smoked finishing salt.
